A Note to our Patients
March 13, 2020
Dear Patients,
Our office has been closely monitoring updates with regards to COVID-19 and want to update you on the additional steps we’re taking for the health and safety of our patients and team.
As mandated by New York State, in an effort to reduce the unnecessary risk of exposure to coronavirus, as of March 13th we will be rescheduling all elective procedures, and are seeing patients for urgent/emergent care only.
We are maintaining compliance with CDC recommendations as well as continuing our already very high standards of cleaning and sterilization, which we always maintain to prevent any flu, virus and other infectious disease transmission.
Required handwashing: Everyone who enters Schiffman Oral Surgery must wash their hands with alcohol based hand sanitizer or soap and water.
All surfaces in reception, front desk, and bathrooms are wiped down with hospital grade disinfectant sprays many, many times throughout the day.
Our operatories, recovery rooms and other clinical patient areas are wiped down after every patient encounter, and instruments are sterilized after every use.
If you have been traveling domestically or internationally and believe you are sick OR might have been exposed to the flu or COVID-19, please inform our office, and re-schedule your appointment. There will be no penalty for appointment changes or cancellations.
Please take good care of yourselves and your loved ones. We will all get through this together.
Thank you,
Drs. Schiffman and Team
